I’ve dated. I’ve had boyfriends.
I’ve loved and I’ve lost.
I’ve married. I’ve been divorced.
I’ve broken many promises.
But today I am a woman.
I am a strong and beautiful queen.
Despite my past. Despite my present.
It’s my future that counts.

I AM A LEGACY.

I’ve raised children.
I’ve been a leader.
I’ve been a follower.
I’ve been redeemed.
But today I can say
Even though I’ve tried and cried
My head still hung high
With a king on my side.
I know where I’ve come from.
I know exactly where I’m going.

I’m a minister. I’m encouraged.
Through this I encourage others.
I am a child of God. I am a wife.
I am loved and I love others.
I am healed and I have faith.
I have joy, unspeakable joy!
I have a family and a few friends.
I’ve got my priorities in order!

These things I pass on.
Accept me and love me.
Ask for grace to accept change.
Get away from the negative mentality!
I know who I am.I know where I belong.
And because of this…
I WILL FOREVER BE A LEGACY.
