He’s the jealous type.

Kept his hand on his knife,

While she’s drinkin gin at the bar.

When the lights went out

She grabbed my arm,

Leading me straight to my car.

A couple years later

Wearin’ boots made of gator.

She didn’t even knock on my door.

Filled with the love

She gave me that night,

It was all I could taste evermore.

Red lips and a smile

She’ll stay only a while.

Her love lasts for a week or two.

Then she moves on.

But she loves me again,

The next time she comes through.

He was the jealous type.

Kept his hand on his knife,

I kept drinkin gin at the bar.

His eye was on me,

My hand on her knee.

He chased me straight to my car.

He held on to that knife

I saw red lips and a smile

I saw her red lips and they smiled.
