She Was His Smile He wasn’t lost in the dark He just couldn’t find his way Until this highway angel Turned his darkness into day. Hair, red like the evening sun Lips, curved and wanting – a smile Slipping her hand into his They walked in silence a while. Days and years were just a blur In each other’s arms they stayed He, very lost in the dark She, always showing the way. Antiquity showing in the photograph, the dark wood and even the roses look like the old variety of 19th century roses making the reflection in the mirror double the beauty in crystal longevity, the poem comes to life as a Victorian romance, Dayvid...beautiful and angelic in its delivery...
