A Damn Hot, Cold Winter’s Night The bar tender eyed you As he poured you a shot No longer a youngster But you were damn hot! You said you were lonely I thought you were cool We went off together To shoot us some pool Hubbard in the corner Singing ‘bout snakes And some redneck mother He then took a break. The table you cleaned up And then said goodbye But I followed you home Full moon high in the sky. It was a damn hot, cold winter’s night A damn hot, cold winter’s night Against the warmth of your body Your love felt alright But it was a damn hot, cold winter’s night. Late in the morning Still asleep in your bed Our clothes on the floor Hubbard still in my head.
