Viva the "inner voice". One of things I like about this poem is that it has a happy ending.

LOL at James David... THIS was clever. Sometimes the best friend in the world we all have and know nothing of when we think we are so lonely is just simply ourselves. Lady....you just crack me up. If it feels any better...I totally relate...LOL!

Lady A~
"And we had talks...
And shared our thoughts
On so much did WE agree!
Then one day.... I realized......
The friend I found was ME!"
Love the ending

Hey...the best friend you will ever have will be yourself. If you don't like YOU nobody else will either. I love this...it's SELF-FULL. Bravo.
