Poem Artwork

I shall ever be a wallflower
Of this, I’m sure at last
The ground beneath the springtime shower
Whose moment has long passed
I will never be famous
Nor will I e’er see the stars
I am an ignoramus
When compared to all You Are.

I shall ever be a wallflower
Who in the corner rests
Someone without the means and power
To reap wealth and success
I am shaded by the darkness
Of a light that burns quite dim
As I slumber in the stillness
Pondering to sink or swim.

I shall ever be a wallflower
And not what You had planned
For while Your Goodness humbly towers
My leaves of life can’t stand
You see, this night I’m weak, O! Lord
I fear that I shall fall
And ‘til my faith has been restored
I am calmed by this wall.

I shall ever be a wallflower
Until, at last, the day
When ceased shall be the autumn showers
That make my soul feel gray
I pray you’ll see me through this time
And quickly make it leave
For, Lord, You Know, my heart divine
Wants so much to believe.

Wonderful insight. The world is supported by wallflowers who, while unseen decorate the fabric of life with their presence.

Another beautiful poem from your golden pen, Jill. Somehow I will never see you as a mousey wallflower. You have a wonderful gift, which means that you are one of the "Chosen." Beauty radiates from within and anyone who can't see this is spiritually blind. All of life awaits you if only you learn to employ the desire and belief method. You have heart and morality, Jill...that in and within itself puts you near the front of the line.

Take care,

Sherry

Dear Jill,

You are, and will always be,
more than a wallflower.
You are God's Light shining!

Love & Light,
Joseph

We are constantly being tested, and sometimes our faith can be shaken but if it's built on a solid foundation it can withstand the storms of life. But one thing you must always do, continue to pray and place your trust in Him and He will see you through these uncertain days.
