Smile throughout your Monday, although you are strained
Because if you’re smiling, so much will be gained
Your load will seem lighter and you’ll feel at ease
Until your first workday has left on a breeze
If, for just a second, you take time for yourself
By placing your hassles high upon a shelf
Your heart will calmed and your mind will be, too
Then, before you know it, Monday will be through.

Smile throughout your Monday, despite tasks piled high
Because if you’re smiling, the workday will fly
Your mind will be clearer; your effort will shine
And soon, you’ll be ready to say, “I am fine”
Your commute may be hurried or possibly slowed
But, you will discover the peace you are owed
If you dawn a smile from the time you arise
Monday will be better than you realize.

Smile throughout your Monday, once to your workplace
Because, if you’re found with a smile on your face
Your warm, carefree nature is certain to spread
Leading to a happier workday, ahead
The large stack of paper heaped upon your desk
So, bold and unruly and so statuesque
Will become much smaller, should you opt to embrace
Surviving each Monday with a smile on your face.
