At the end of the day Nothing remains From the repentance I have picked up In the lifelong racing Between good and evil Formerly manifested By my to-ash-burnt heart.

I can't seem to figure out whether this is a good thing or a bad thing. In some ways, repentance is surely a good thing, especially at the end, but that is not what you are saying here. Similarly, repentance has its natural limits, representing a knowledge of reality that is well worth letting go off, once it has laid in state for a while. Cryptic, enigmatic, interesting. John
