I have heard people say
A small bag cannot be made
To contain what is large;
A short rope cannot be used
To draw water from a deep well.
So it is, and man's appointed fate
Is determined from above,
And his body is adapted
For definite ends, so that
Neither the one nor the other
Can be augmented or diminished.
Hence only he who knows
That enough is enough
Will always have
An adequate amount
Of his requisites.
