A gentleman by definition
Is full of caution and indecision
In undertaking action;
He treads as if on thin ice,
But strong ice
Will come by and by
Where he sets foot on rime.
With such a cautious approach
He meets with no great calamity
In his course. This shows
That the Due Course
Is in following of the strong
After the gentle and soft.
