The entire modern scientific establishment takes as its first principle the existence of physical matter as the ultimate identify of the Reality, with a capital R. The modern scientific method is based on seeing, yes, as you say, with the physical eyes (and what we can't see with the eyes we try to see with rarefied instruments nowadays). But is that it? As you say at the end of this poem, scientific progress associates itself with the external (physical), not the internal (spiritual). So, what about that. And what is the Reality. All the great revelations of the world religions suggests that there is a Higher Reality that lies behind the physical reality that we can actually see with our own eyes. John

I liked this, Alex and it corresponds to my current mood/situation, one that makes me suspicious of the value anything sensory. But meanwhile insight flounders. Rest, uneasy, reigns. I hope this condition's only for the moment (that concept being relative!). Patience searches for a new window, not perfectly clear, but simply less cloudy.
