What is known as Fate
Operates unceasingly,
Leaving no accumulation
Of its influence
In any particular space,
So that all the humans
Are brought to perfection
Mostly by themselves.

So does Fate operate blindly,
But all men turn to it
As their unalterable conductor;
So do some go-getting men,
The leaders among others of sort,
And all within the six continents
And seven seas submit
Straight to them, without demur.

Those who clearly understand
The sacred part of the Fate,
Who are in sympathy with that
Of the go-getting leaders,
And also familiar through
The circular heavens and
In all the four quarters of earth
With deeds of common people,
Yet act spontaneously
From their artful selves --
With the look of being ignorant
They're yet entirely still and cool.

Their stillness and coolness
Do not belong to them
As a consequence
Of their skilful abilities --
All men are unable
To disturb their minds --
It is on this account
That they are still and cool.

Therefore, they find in this
Their resting place.
Resting there, they're vacant;
From the vacancy comes fullness;
From their fullness
Comes the nice distinctions
Of all the ranks and categories
Of the myriad things.

From their vacancy then come
Stillness and coolness;
Those stillness and coolness
Are followed by movement;
Their movements
Are all successful. Besides,
From their stillness
And coolness comes inaction.

Doing-no-ado, they devolve
The cares of businesses
On their devoted employees;
Doing-no-ado is accompanied
By the feeling of full satisfaction.
Where there's that feeling of satisfaction,
Anxieties and troubles find no place;
And the years of happy life are in many
To match by stealth with the Fate, as it is.
