It seems the sipping of tea
At the break of the day and
Interminable talking and gnawing
Of sunflower seeds at porch
Have consumed all our authors’ time.
It explains why gem-like verses
And dainty essays and short prefaces
To co-authors’ works and brief descriptions
Of co-authors’ travels and funeral sketches
Of co-authors’ lives comprise the works
Of most modern authors, the bloggers and otherwise.
I had a good chuckle out of that picture. I co-author with my dreams all the time. Most of my work comes from my dreams. I wake up in the morning, jot down all the details from my dreams and write stories and poetry from them.
It seems this poem is unfinished. My thoughts were that morning poetry was cut short by the resulting impulse drinking too much tea. But perhaps I'm wrong, as usual. ;-)
