So Very Poor But Do I Need More

What is poor, and what is more?

I'm so po I do declare
can't afford no "o"
no "r's" to spare...

What is po?
Do you know?
Can you afford,
an "r" an extra "o"...

Will work for food!
Do you qualify?
No socks, no shoes
no money to buy...

Do you care,
if you have mo?
the "e" and "r"
spells more
than poor...

Can po just be,
a state of mind...
blissful ignorance,
bred over time?

I've seen po
with lots of sense,
common folks
still waiting to get!

Po folks filled with
morals, values and pride...
They work hard,
at life, they know
how to survive...

What is po?
Do you know?
Will your money,
get you mo?

If you've no kind words,
or deeds to impart...
If you can't relate
to being po at heart...

Turn your nose
and hold it high,
keep on looking
at the sky,
better hope
and pray,
you'll
always
be able
to survive...

I nearly always feel rich and even when I was filthy poor I felt rich, guess it's because even the queen of England can't see the sunset or sunrise or hear music any better or clearer or richer than I....she has to share those with me and all of us,they are the best things in life. The very best of this life does not cost a cent,we are almost all rich but too many just don't know it.
Your poem relates to how I feel too,you are so right!
I adore this poem.
