There is an elastic between me
and water;  the middle so taut
it burns like two sticks rubbed
together for fire.

Sparks fly from this spot.
Nothing is static.  Water
calls me.

I call water,
I see water.
Water sees me.
I walk in water.

I'm praying for the
day I will walk on water.
My feet bask in water till
my soul turns and fros.

I know it's enough when 
my toes grow cold.
