Nice poem, Franz. I am a Florida native. What you describe is the exact same thing that a tourist from the "real world" would experience at the tourist traps that abound in Florida. You weren't exposed to the real people and the real Florida. I don't consider "theme parks" real Florida, nor do I like to be anywhere near them.

Been to Florida, but on my terms, in a motorhome with my car attached, went where I wanted, one theme park enough, beaches boring, still like NJ beaches, but a bit brisk in winter...go again, on your own, rent an RV or something like that...Peace, ED & Rufuz

I agree Franz...I want to make my own plans
and go my own way....I hate doing bus tours etc..
I guess I am too strong willed to follow...
I prefer making my own plans and having a great
time..loved this...floria

Thanks for reminding me never to go to Florida again! I had a very similar experience. I much prefer the wide open spaces of the West and Southwest.
