Settle For Nothing

No matter what, there is hope.

My soul it bleeds
For those who didn't care

A closed door
Not a safety reed.

I cry no more
Just muddle through,
I wrap my arms around myself
And gently soothe  the sore.

There must be something waiting for me,
And he will make it clear,
My soul survives another day
Then a butterfly.

Ah, the butterfly! So often, it is given when hope is needed.
