An appropriate piece for 14Feb. I wonder if there is a modern electronic equivalent to casting a message in a bottle on the tide. I certainly hope so. Wouldn't it be exquisite to re-discover a lost love.

many must take and do to regain love or at least
hope for the possibility of renewal;

The past is always sweeter when looked at from the future. There is a certain longing here that is unfulfilled and hopefully will be someday. But casting a note on the sea seems like a futile thing to do when trying to reconnect with an old love. Still, it is the theme of the legends that notes cast the sea become reality.

Ahh . . . Hopefully the next time with surely be the charm . . . Wouldn't it be marvelous to pick up where you had left off (without, of course the reason for separating). I wish that for you. It happened to me. My first wife and I got back together again after our daughter tracked me down. She told me we had some catching up to do. She was right.
