I wrote this poem for a friend that had unknown to me, lost a dear friend to cancer.

I knelt down and said a prayer
And knew the Lord would hear,
I asked him to bless
My friend that I held so dear.

I asked him to be with you
And watch each step you took,
To be there to carry you
If that is what it took.

I knew not what the problems were
Just had you on my mind,
So I asked him to send you
Blessings of a very special kind!

Know that he is with you
Though the times are rough
And that he has the answers,
They are always just enough!

So rest assured your not alone
And someone really cares,
They held you up today
To the Lord in prayer.
