I suppose I should try to console her
wipe the tears from aher tear stained face
but I don't even know her
why should I care?
it's really not my place
why should I even dare,
give of myself to one I don't know?
share emotions of tenderness
I should just get up and go!
but I can't treat one in need
with an act of thoughtlessness

Wise, it would be
for me to just flee!
and not of this pain, be a part
but my God has given me this caring will
if I can, to touch an aching heart

And so I smile to assure her that all is not lost
I say to keep fighting for life at any cost
for out of grief and despair
come hope and joy
when someone cares

From God, our Heavenly Father
who teaches in spirit and truthfulness
comes the way to true peace and happiness

The compassion and care is palpable in this Denise. You have a beautiful spirit! Sometimes we can be helpful, and others we can't. It isn't always easy to reach out,but if we let our spirits speak as you did, it is best. wonderful write!

A wondefully penned write with a compelling message, Denise. We so often see the pain of strangers and say nothing. I wonder how many tragedies we could prevent if we'd just open up more to our fellows. Beautiful. ~~Nordette

This is so cool and so heartwarming, it is so easy to walk away from these types of situations but takes a lot of love and strength to follow the true Christian path of helping our fellow man or in this case woman, thanks for the gentle reminder.

Felix
