My friend and love, who already suffers from Diabetes, has just learned he has Colon Cancer. We desperately need your prayers!
He was the one who gave me a special night of bliss from behind me, he planted on my neck, a soft and sensual kiss his smile, crooked though it be, was a smile I welcomed happily I now watch him, as his sunny smile fades with each coming day I watch, heartbroken, as his life slips slowly, painfully away skin that was once vibrantly bronze is turning ever so dark and gray a talkative man, now has nothing good to say We don't speak of it, how fast time is going we shy away from talk of that coming day
Winters are especially hard for him he fights with what little energy has but the sparkle in his eyes is growing dim the ever present question, plays upon his trembling lips as he smiles a shuddering sigh with so much still to do, so much yet to give why, baby, why? Fear sets in, of the knowledge that we'll have to part, for soon, he will die another page in my book to tears, and life's painful souvenirs but we will take one a day at a time and try to face the facts with a grain of salt and a measure of sugar, to ease the hollow place filling our hearts, and the bitter pill we both must swallow.
Hope is always here, as a tender comfort and God's promise of a release from Death's grip, a promise that one day soon, "death will be no more, nor pain or suffering, or outcry, the former things will pass away!" So, we wait and we pray, for we have this promise that we'll see each other again some day!

Hi Denise:
I can't express my words of caring enough. I had just lost my Dad to caneer. But with God's blessing, he had met his final days with absolutely no pain and suffering.
Denise, He and you both will certainly be in my prayers. Why is it as I read this, that my poem, Bleeding Beauty, that I posted only yesterday all but attacked my heart.
