I know a place deep within the forest glen
Far from the sight and sounds of men
Where sounds are hushed and silence calls
Beneath the towering giants tall
Columns reach up towards the skies
Under which a leafy carpet lies,
Dimmed sunlight filters throug h the arches high,
Of leafy green, a painted ceiling so sublime.
Birds calling faintly in a far off place,
Faintly heard, add a soothing grace,
To Gods cathedral where I can pray
And in this place my burdens lay.
No need for temples with towering spires,
Or buildings grand to be admired,
Gods own cathedral to me is best
It brings me peace and my soul to rest.
Keep up the good work. I'll look forward to reading more.
