This Planet is in a pretty parlous state at this time. It's up to all of us to stand up and be counted.
What On Earth
What on earth has gone wrong with the world today?,
What is this malaise that affects us all in some queer way,
When from nation to nation insults are mostly hurled,
All around we hear rumours of war, war banners are unfurled,
The world has changed there;s no doubt about that,
On daily news we hear about attack after attack,
New names for old offences,, the same rhetoric spews,
From the mouths of the terrorists, we’ve done it to others
we’ll do the same to you,
Innocent victims, dying each and every day,
They’ve committed no crime but the’re the ones that have to pay,
Soft targets the phrase is a way used just to describe,
Those women and children innocents, who paid with their lives,
Are we so used to carnage served up with our daily news,
That we are indifferent and now hold no firm views,
Never a protest that all this is not right,
That it’s away over there let them all just fight,
Just think for a moment, think if you can,
These bombings and killings are not in God’s plan,
It’s all a result of evil that exists in some mens minds,,
Renegrade fanatics, who to reasoning are so blind,
And so we come to Christmas, that Season of the Year,
That time we send Our Wishes to all those we hold so dear,
But I sometimes wonder about the messages we send,
Whatever happened then, to Peace on Earth and Goodwill to all men.
Yes, well, it kinda dosent have the same meaning anymore I reckon. Apathy rules. But this write is superb John, a darn good reminder for what we should be about.

Cynic or realist eh!
Thanks John, your a gem, and I wish that we had your cool sea breezes up here, been going nuts for days, finally it cooled off in the last hour or so, Phew!!
