This shows in an inspirational poem how one woman went on alone after her husband's death.

One Year Alone Without Him

By Emma L. Willey, May 22, 2010

My man left a year ago today,

He’s been so long away

I didn’t think I could dot it

But I’ve made it all the way.

My Ormie is gone, but not in spirit

He is with me all the way.

His body is gone but not the rest

He is with me every day.

I remember so many things

His smile and his gentle ways

I could never have had a better man

Or a more perfect husband in every way.

I remember him in so many ways

And wish every day he was here

He left a big hole in my life, you know,

And I have shed many a tear.

But I knew he would expect me

To go ahead with my life in style

He would be proud of me today, I’m sure

How I’ve lived on without him this while.

I have missed him every day he is gone

I will never forget my great man

The father of my kids, and my hero

This husband of mine, my man.

Some told me to fins someone new

But nobody can take his place,

I will always remember my l man

I will never forget his sweet face.

Ormie was my world and will always be,

No matter how old I might get,

He is with me forever, not really gone,

Ad I will have no regrets.

The End
