I never had much;

or so I thought.

Then I moved that chair;

it brought me easier to prayer.

While it's fresh in my mind;

it's really quite refined.

It didn't belong with the dinette;

and so I have absolutely no regret.

I've composed many poems in that chair;

sometimes I just sit there and stare.

It fit so well in my bedroom nook;

Now, so lovely, there's nothing to overlook.

It's amazing what a chair can bring;

my new apartment, I've learned to sing.

Yes it's comfortable, sometimes I'll linger;

a surefire way to dispel any anger.

It's quite narrow, that chair it is;

only a chair, but composed of riches.

It's hard to believe it's come this far;

my gosh, from the dinette, it's up to par.
