Pregnant With Mischief

A couplet poem about noise pollution.

What's the matter with you;

I'd like to kick you with my shoe.

Your noise is there day and night;

this contributes to urban blight.

Your car alarms are obnoxious;

a nerve-racking hocus-pocus.

Your boom box blares, you live carefree;

not just me, others see ya as a booby.

At two o'clock, folks are sleeping;

there you are as a jag, and disturbing.

With all your licentiousness, a life unfulfilled;

doubtful your din will ever compare to the whippoorwill.

You throw your bottle out into the street;

the sound of it breaking, it's quite discrete.

Being pregnant with mischief will turn on you;

so change your view, heeding the cue.

What's the matter with you;

no need to remain askew.

I'd never kick you with my shoe;

Simply respect your neighbor, your best purview.
