The way I see it you're just wasting away;

don't be obsessed, your brain to soon fly away.

That cumbersome keyboard, that tiny little screen;

is it really necessary to become a daily routine?

There you sit in your sedentary form;

has this really become the post-modern norm?

You're staring at that screen, completely mesmerized;

is it any wonder why you have become stigmatized?

Now you're walking in front of me, then you stop short;

has this now evolved into a new kind of sport?

Just like driving, please watch where you're going;

this diddle-daddle at the mall becomes a bit harrowing.

Twiddle dee dee, twiddle dee dum, now you're overcome;

give your eyes a big rest, absolutely no reason to succumb.

Those hand-held devices, they do have their value;

but the mall is for shopping, please don't devalue.

Just because everybody's doing it doesn't mean it's helpful;

check your behavior, it may be distasteful or disrespectful.
