A couplet poem about driving on the interstate and how to be courteous.

I talked with a weaver, he told me this;

too many drivers are causing me to hiss.

They block the passing lane, can't get through;

got a long haul, they just don't have a clue.

Driving down the interstate, got a destination;

dawdler impeding traffic, nothing but consternation.

They call him the weaver, it's the only way through;

must drive defensively, no option except to eschew.

A little while later, another traffic clump;

the weaver does eighty, some call him a chump.

As he looks in the rear-view he breathes with relief;

he has passed the danger, almost beyond belief.

The weaver says let the police enforce the limit;

please keep to the right, we'll both be legitimate.

While you're at it, please stay off the phone;

all I really want is to arrive safely at home.

Talked with a weaver, he told me this;

too many drivers are causing me to hiss.

Stay out of the passing lane, you're causing danger;

if someone's behind you, be courteous and move over.
