Thieves broke into my pickup truck;
seems to me I've got pretty good luck.
Absolutely no damage, no broken window;
time to get off that road to Jericho.
It's kind of funny, really it is;
their way of life, soon to fizz.
Someone said they were looking for tools;
they didn't find any, heaven overruled.
Why they took my lumbar cushion I'll never know;
one thing I do know, we reap what we sow.
To my surprise the jumper cables were still there;
something must have happened, something in the air.
I asked for a sign, from above I did;
protection from there, it's certainly vivid.
I pity those who lurk in darkness;
they just walk in slippery places.
Thieves broke into my pickup truck;
others might have been seriously dumbstruck.
Just goes to show ya, all earthly things lose their value;
those thieves I feel sorry for, ensnared in mere taboo.
