in the gloamin the roses bloom long shadows are cast by Ivy as it trails up the lattice on the wall day lilies waxy blossoms wilt their colors the same as the sunset the scent of jasmine fills the air and fresh mown grass competes I sit under the arbor listening in silence so still am I, spiders sound loud spinning webs I hear the honey bee's on roses the chatter of ants on lattice trails I even hear the last cry's of the day lilies as they send out their finial good byes yet still I sit under the arbor here, waiting please hurry sundown for when the moon gets high you will come to me on its glow casting your moon shadow over me as I attend with faint heart and baited breath for the moment I feel that cooling touch in that sweet darkness you become the light
(A real keeper.) Thanks.

I have enjoyed a profound and lovely reading. This poem, "In the Gloaming"
