I whispered to the wind and waited for an answer
looking to the sky, I wanted to see it come eye to eye
I sat and rocked and implored to the cosmos
please let the answer come this day, tomorrow at most
then from deep within me, I heard a whisper soft
why do you look for an answer without..
blinking and thinking hard as I now knelt
my eyes had been open and in my passion I'd closed
opening them wide I started to look and cast about
then I looked down, yes the answer was within
I found it was in the blade of grass below
it was in every tree that germinates and grows
the very  piercing thorns on a rose
to the mollusks, even the very fish in the sea
I heard the loons cry, as on wings  they fly by
rising up, my eyes now enlighten to all that I was seeing anew
I touched the wonders of life, understanding the reasons
my world began  the day I was born and ceases the day I leave
in between it is all up to me, to find and see the glory
