throwing back the curtains of life
opening a window to let the sunshine in
watching all my troubles float out on the wind
look there is hope perch on the windowsill
please oh please do come in
putting out the bread crumbs of faith
and even a cup of the milk and kindness
thinking if I open another window I will air out
the blanket and sheets of sloth and wrath
bring in a comforter off the back clothe line
of the air sweeten blessed peace to mankind
recycling the News Papers of dark obituary
choosing to bring in the self help adds
going up to the dusty attic in my mind
unpacking the boxes of self depreciation
cutting them up and tying them in string
they never have a place to be stored again
I plan to cleaning out the rafters
of the cobwebs of wasted time
when I finish all those weighty  task
going to have a  Herculean cup of herb tea
ginger and Jasmine to refresh my soul
maybe even a cup of red or white zinger
for the new improved awakened me
