Stolen Moments

these stolen moments I spend with you
we touch with words of soft caress
                             you say I love you, I reply I love you too



we meet each day at a stated time
the place changes but never our rhyme
                             you say I love you, I reply I love you too



under tables we hold cold seeking hands
try to brush knees hopping others don't see
                             you say I love you, I reply I love you too



this is all we have, it is never enough
this is all there ever will be, we are not free
                              you say I love you, I reply I love you too



                you say until, I reply until we meet again

Billy Paul...Me aaaaaaaa, aand Mrs. ----MISSUS...Jones!!!! The pain in his voice while belting out those words... hearing that song---was the pain this read line for line in this poem! These strands of words are stunningly painful. Now... you made me want to hear that song :)---I now have toon cooties...lol! Excellent writer--I applaud you!
