Lone against the blue purple sky you stand by day a glowing white crowned tower of strength but you come to your full glory after the sun sets turning on your beacon of warrior salvation's light the rocks of perdition's demise reflect in your flame teaching all who come to view, the act of being humble your voice mighty as the illumination you sharply wheel forborne, a potent force against the black of night or storm slicing with your commanding sword into the dark ink piercing the sounds of ocean swells, you preach a gospel from your pulpit high on shore, calling to the sinners or saints adrift, be at peace I will guide you to safe haven

What beautiful personification of such an important part of life on the water! This is wonderfully descriptive and I really enjoyed reading it. I have been at the top of the lighthouse in St. Augustine Florida and its unbelievable how much ocean one can see from up there! Great job with this, Cheryl!
