My Golden Butterfly

The poems in "My Golden Butterfly" were written after the death of a three year old little boy. They are meant to help others who have suffered the same loss.
A mother's anguished screams fill the silence She puts her hands to her mouth Trying to stifle the noise My God My God My God There is no other pain comparable to this That she can imagine. She looks around confusedly To see where the noise is from Then she realizes it's hers She bows her head In pain In silence In surrender And then she begins to heal.

It seems the healing came quickly in this poem, but I am positive it wasn't quick in real life. I get it that you moved through the mourning period and horror in the gist of making the poem effective. It worked . . .
