GROW WITH ME

Throughout my life

I've questioned and searched

I wondered and asked

Why we are here on this earth

The trials of my youth

Played havoc with me

But now as I step aside

It's so clear to see

That each experience I had

Took me one step closer

Toward the light I would see

That was always part of me

Each poem that I wrote

Seemed to help my expression

Of the emotions I was feeling

Be it happiness or depression

I invite you all

To grow with me

And to challenge yourselves

To look inwardly

Don't be afraid

Of the stirrings and commotion

Let yourself be guided

By your God-given emotions

What I really learned

Year after year

Is that we are never alone

There is no need to fear

For love and God

Are synonymous you see

So forge forward my friends

And be all you can be!
