The moon from a prison window.......

Poem Artwork

The moon is risen
The guys in prison
Can merely glance
From windows lanced

The freedom lost
Ah such a cost
None but remorse
Due a lost course

They are not bad
They've just been had
By life's cold tune
Stare at the moon

While some should be removed from society, many just need to be set on the right course to become productive citizens. Unfortunately, there is a whole industry out there, from citizens groups, two lawyers and judges, to private prisons, that like the money that cracking down on victimless crimes brings.

It doesn't take much to go astray and then have to pay with loss of freedom.

That a cold, cold moon that the prisoner must stare through bars to see, Jane.
