You call me names

You pick on me

You have a point

For the world to see

You want me gone

You want me out

That’s why you choose

To Scream and shout

But I will not budge

I will not fall

No matter what you call me

Walking in the Hall

With all your words

You try to break me

But on my ground

You don’t even shake me

I am a person

One that’s just like you

You probably wouldn’t say those things

If you only knew

You speak with ignorance

I speak with Silence

I will choose peace

You will choose violence

So please understand my reasons

For not speaking today

But  I won’t be ashamed

For simply being gay

But this is so absurd

And easy to negate

If we could just be heard

And eliminate the hate

I will be myself

I won’t hide ever again
