Families in drug worlds are hard to escape, pleasure now, old folks crash burn and die

    1
In the window of life he screams the plan is to escape the glass
Finds only day dreams and the love given for the money in his heart
Silence brings from the hellhole called self-realization and he takes her
With family living in the escape of coke and hope played in the poppy
Translation of escape blood turns to Jell-O and mind fries like eggs on pavement
    2
Momma help I am falling in love with a dream that died in sin of being smoked
Fight the urge to take every soul with me to the place where love is born in freebase
Temptation skills the vice of bourbon slipping past lips yet to be kissed night early
Body temptation skips past the need for freedom lived in souls joined soul mate
No will left from outside the fluid given to peace in work lingering in solace met
    3
Pine a color left in a motel room needle in the money left and turning green
Drug of soul lost is joined by drink of reason spent in lonely nights over you
Room spins as the drinks hit the gray mater of self-realization going down fast
Curb comes up now hosts the last of pride my old lady rides me for the worth of the dime
Sweetness gets together on the needle shared, burn the spoon, let the brown bubble true
    4
Water from a cloud screams out redemption but I have gone to you little tip back accepted
Her lips gobble up every part of me she takes all that I live in leaving my soul free in her
Nothing escapes the fathers watchful eyes she in off white shotgun expands horizons lived
Ground works from the blade in the dark of night they run the border child in arms slept
Life takes its toll in grand style burning place and position lifting shadows to a new level
    5
Sidewalk takes the pick up home to sleep in the gutters of wine rows in flow coin left
Pretty little thing used for the white flowing in her veins higher than the kite she flies
Working wages for the sin left in sleeping brothels on the strip for a cubicle in hell
Mind a percent resident for the facts livid with drugs lost in place paid by souls sweet street candy
Angel lifts his soul tin can roamed the wilder side in the barrooms of his youth crying for her soul
    6
Pain is the key to escape from every driving scourge in seamless taverns learned from exits
Nothing gives or takes like a mind on a stroll through the past lost in future hope spread thin
Social grace left in a hot tub drink in hand young tasted in the plan consuming spirit spent
Each picture another in the reviling of happiness found in nether place or sold pleasure dreamed
Warm the glow of tolerance cold the cell hotter than hell the place children sent by bad picks tried and consumed

Whoa! UP IN FLAMES consumes the reader, leaving the reader with no escape from such scathing truth. I love your wordsmithing. This is not an easy read, so I know it was not easy for you to write. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if you told me you lost a few pints of blood when composing UP IN FLAMES. Dynamic writing from the first word to the last.

Wow!

~Mari
