For those of you who do not know
I'm 51 years old
And I now believe in Santa Claus
though prior years were cold
I see his shining face
upon the caring persons here
For the Army of Salvation
gave me light when there was fear
When times were tough and pennies scarce
and family food was gone
The Army of Salvation
gave me strength to carry on
We must not tell a child
that Santa is not real
For sometimes hope is lost
amongst the poverty we feel
You see, there is a Santa
and he reigns throughout the year
For the Army of Salvation
cares when others cannot hear
