The forbidden fruit of love is ripe and plentiful
The mystery and magic surrounds and abounds
Every step, every breath, draw us ever nearer
To the reality of a dream, one we never surrendered
How funny that the heart should now skip
Having beat in perfect rhythm for well over four decades
Funny too that knees so strong and sturdy now collapse repeatedly
Fears, doubts, anguish, pain all wash away with one look
Eyes telling the story of many who have traversed this path before us
Forbidden love, not to be denied, sworn to secrecy by it's very nature
Lips sealing the fate of two lovers lost in rapture
For this moment in time, to hell with the consequences
Let the arms of passion encircle the desirous creatures
Thrusting the waves of pleasure to the shores of the lover's souls
Releasing the yearnings anchored so long in empty hearts
Fertilizing the fantasies with a brimming over dose of reality
Changes not one moment of desire or pursuit thereof
Anonymous to all except themselves, hidden yet sated

I love these lines. So sensual and true.
Superb write.
A masterpiece you have pen here with words and picture to match perfectly. Words so true of tasting the forbidden fruit of love between two who only know and can know. Have always thought eyes can tell the story of someone and for sure nothing better than to seal with lips this love. Loved the ending as for sure they are totally sated with this love.
Excellent wrote here my poet friend and supporter as your skills and talent have shown once more with the poem.
