          Has thou been trapped?

           Others are even now!

           Go to them - Help them,

           Set them free!

          Has thou been wronged?

           So has thy brother!

 Comfort him

 Thy sister too!

Has thou known chains?

 You are not alone!

Do you bleed?

 Is the battle strong against thee?

 Thy neighbor is also caught up in the fray!

Call out – Reach out ...  Join him!

 Help him on his way

 Be careful – Take caution!

 Wound them not again!

Have I been oppressed?

 Behold!

 Others have been much more!

Could I stand up

    for their defense?

             Would I ?

Can I be trusted

    to work to free them?

            Will I give of myself so?

OH Lord!

   Awaken Me!

Soften Me!

Break my Pride!

 All Thy gifts to me!

 Dare I hord them so!

   Such Grace – So freely given ...

    May I so freely give!

Open me up Father!

 Have me be there for others!

May I build ­– Yea even be shelter for them?

                                      And tarry not!

May I bind up their wounds?

                   May I touch – May I heal them?

   May I love them?

      May I live for them?

          May I ? – May I ?

 Yea – It is even that

                       I Must!

          Oh Lord!

                 This I ask of Thee ...

                                      Make me a Lover!

                                                          Amen
