Refresh my memory



Taken time to think back to words I’m sorry, I asked refresh my memory of a hurt long forgotten,

A scare that’s long healed, and a day that is marked from all thought and pain,

I have know regret, no sorry no blame, as does the words of what is it you said and did, that makes your sorry years later a ache in your heart,

My friend as it is, so is the kiss of forgiveness, that has erased the past from my mind of all weeps and tears,

You have stayed in my conscious thoughts because of the love that we have shared as friends, and a second of why does not cross my path,

It is within you to for give yourself, of all that haunts your mind, and the blame that has followed you this far, I whispered in his ear,
As a hug became a memory,
And a tear was wiped away from long ago,

So apology excepted as is the thought of you that will always be,
