I wish sometimes you weren’t so busy and that you could really see,

The time I miss when we’re apart and you’re not here with me.

I wish that I could save time in a bottle like the old song goes,

And just be alone more- heart to heart and nose to nose,

I wish we spent more time laughing instead of arguing and such,

I wish we spent more time embracing instead of just a passing touch,

I wish that we could make love more than what we do,

And that you could read my mind every time I look at you,

I wish that you could read my eyes, my thoughts, and see my dreams,

But wishing gets me nowhere, neither does hoping it seems,

I know you say you love me, and that is so very sweet,

But I wish that life wouldn’t take away the energy and passion that I love between the sheets,

I sometimes feel like a schoolgirl, with a crush on a guy so fine,

And then my heart flutters like butterflies when I realize that he’s all mine,

I wish that every word I told you, you had something more in depth to say,

Than just smiling and saying, “ok.”

I know that you say that you’re not good with words, but I know better,

You sit down and explain to me when I am wrong, and its more words than I put in a letter,

I wish sometimes when you are away we had longer conversations on the phone,

Even if you just repeated, “I love you,” for an hour long.

I wish that we could sit down and remember more the day we met and I would do nothing but smile,

And trip over my words and blush when you would talk to me a while,

I wish in our intimate hours we could role play such a like scene for a few minutes along,

And then twist the plot where we end up making passionate love instead of me going home,

I know that you say we have a lifetime together, but we don’t know that for a fact,

Look at the ways our life has gone, twisted and tangled for a while off it’s track,

I wish that sometimes the things that we read about in stories we love to see,

Could take place in our bedroom just between you and me,

However, I know that after you read this, you will either question me or just say, “ok,”

But just to clear my head, I thought I’d write my wish list anyway.
