"Our Poor Have No Race
Country or Religion"
by Judy Joy Jones
the poorest of the poor
dying alone
in the night
have no race
country or religion
they suffer because
they need
food shelter
and medical care
which are
what every
human being
must have
to stay alive
and can only
be provided
thru the
loving hands
of you and i
our brothers sisters
children and babies
dying on cold
concrete streets
all over earths shores
are beggin
for someone
to hear and care
if they live
thru the cold
dark nite
