Love is a four Lane Byway
The road of life is very bumpy
with pot holes here and there
You can smooth that road of life
if you make those needed repairs
I've grown to stand away from artistry
walking that road upon my own
Knowing you and I have lost our chemistry
to the dreams that we once sown
Marriage is like a four lane byway
with all it's twist and turns
Never put your lover down
with words that truly burn
The early years were wonderful
as we grew to meet our dream
Something inside had went awry
our love has lost it's steam
Truly caring is not for one
rebuilding that road of adhesion
When we first meet the road was straight
if that road was meant to have a reason
