I've written this in all honesty. The smell of rain is my absolute favorite.

a great smell greets my nose it’s the most wonderful thing I’ve ever known It’s simple really a change in the weather a change in what was expected the smell of rain sets me free.
Rain cleanses the air the streets, the trees, the grass
it refreshes our outlook if we let it
it restores our faith if we are attuned to it
it clears our thinking when we need it
it feels great on our face when we seek clarity
it turns a kiss into magic
when it is shared with the one you love.
Does it also smell great?
Oh hell yes.
A trickle of rain greats, grates, Greeks or greets your/my nose. ;-)
But since water has no color, taste or smell… Nobody knows.
I can still remember northern Wisconsin well water that always had a lot of iron in it and had a real metal smell and tang to it. Loved the taste of that water.
