Lately I have been thinking of you,
Though words between us are but few.
I think about the love we shared,
And how much for each other we cared.
Your path was a short verdant lea;
Now a distance of land and sea.
Tell me what your thoughts were of today?
On some other guy to lust and stray?
Did I run across your fleeting mind?
Or you mused on things I did unkind?
We chose the thoughts we would think about
Then we are hurt, cry, and frown and pout
Each obstacle in life has a shadow;
But there’s light on the flip side of sorrow.
Who knows just what tomorrow holds for you;
In the meantime let’s move pass this plateau.
Remember the promise, “friends forever”?
Keep your heart open, never say never!
Life is made of moments, lived worth-or-less.
So give each moment not mere, but your best!
