In a bit of a detox-phase...
AGE OF ENLIGHTENMENT I think my white's becoming grey. I think my night's approaching day. I think my wounds are set to heal. I think my dead's begun to feel. Instead of blind, I start to see: The rusted lock has found a key. I think, outside, I could be free - and then, at last, I would be me. Find inner peace, not howling rage. Leave out the dumb, becoming sage. Line drawn under, turn the page. Perhaps, at last, I've come of age.�

At age 80, I appreciate this work more than before. Now, I just can't wait to come of age. It seems like I've been waiting forever.

Agree with Belle's assessment - there's a depth here which pushes through the surface of simple language and has terrific impact, causing the reader to consider age and wisdom, form and flow. Dawn
