Man's Duality

There's a war being waged within the duality of men
Adam's first sin against God's master plan.
The aged ole classic of good verus evil percolates
in all souls.
Who defines good and just what is evil? For one man's
right is another man's wrong.
The silent war wages dusk to dawn, and for the most
part, even without our knowledge.
Our intrinsic values are set against the idiosyncrasies
of mere life.
There are fence setters who straddle both sides and
who pay homage and give allegiance to the highest bidder.
There are those true saints who follow the Master's plan,
and those for whom darkness is light as they marvel
in the satanic.
How does this duality survive within the confines of our
minds? For surely one must win and another loose.
What we feed our minds and souls will determine the
outcome of this battle. Both good and evil rely on faith
to lay claim to the soul.
Faith relies on the everyday actions that we feed our eyes,
minds, and above all our tongues. If we nurture for good,
then evil grows hungry and cold, and yet if we work in a
little evil it will take root and little by little, good will loose the
hold.
The complexities of the duality are great indeed; we all must
feed one or the other.
So my question can only be, what's on your table and who
are you having for dinner.

a superbly crafted poem ... man's good and evil are one element to man's daulity ... there is also his morality and immortality ... since evil is attached to mortality and good to immortality, i would prefer having no one to diner except the chef ...
